LINE’s Piers Lea ranked as a top ten ‘mover and shaker’

LondonLearning NewsLINE Communications

Piers Lea, CEO of LINE Communications, has been placed within the top three of the Top Ten UK E-learning Movers and Shakers List, climbing six places from last year’s number eight to hit the second place spot.

The lists are compiled based on a perceived influence that the individuals concerned have on the e-learning industry as a practitioner, commentator, facilitator and/or thought leader. The list states that Piers makes both the UK and European lists based on him being “a member of ELIG (European Learning Industry Group) and on his position as CEO of LINE Communications, a company which is one of the leading players in the UK e-learning market and, increasingly, is making inroads into the European market”.

Piers is the only British entry on the European list and only one of two people to be featured on more than one list. The number one spots on all three lists remains the same as last year, with Elliott Masie topping the World list, Richard Straub the European list, and Donald Taylor the UK list.

LINE’s Marketing Consultant John Helmer, a high profile writer and blogger within the industry also gets a mention in the ‘bubbling under’ list, which features those who nearly made it. Other significant new entries to the lists include Jo Aggarwal of Pearson and Silatech who makes it straight in at number two on the world list and Jane Hart of C4LPT and Laura Overton of Towards Maturity, both making the UK list in 3rd and 4th place respectively.
