London, 28 April 2011, LINE Communications, a key provider of learning and development solutions to the defence sector, will once again be exhibiting at the ITEC Defence Exhibition and Conference in Cologne on the 10-12th of May.

Following the launch of its mobile learning programme for the iPad at ITEC this time last year, LINE have experienced a continued demand for mobile learning. Located on stand D151 LINE will be showcasing some of their mobile learning projects developed for various mobile devices, as well as more traditional technology based training content developed for all three defence armed services.

Also as the effects of SDSR become a reality, LINE is keen to discuss their end-to-end approach to Training Transformation, from the design, implementation and support of Training Management Information Systems (TMIS); content and learning materials creation; through to the delivery of Blended Learning Academies, CAI based solutions and the use of Virtual Environments linked into e-learning.

LINE's Lead Consultant, Steve Barden will be speaking at the Conference under the theme titled: Cost effective training - The human factors. Steve's session Keep Moving, Keep Learning looks at how new mobile technologies are proving their value in delivering point of need information and training. He will focus on the sharing of good design and implementation practices through to the demonstration of real case studies and the practical considerations for creating business value using mobile devices.

This presentation aims to answer such questions as:

Why and when you should use a tablet or ultra mobile pc rather than a smart phone?
How to make sure the right information is available to the user at the right time?
How to exploit game techniques to bring important knowledge to life?
What it means to manage secure data on mobile devices?

The session will take place on Tuesday the 10th of May at 13.30. Further details can be found here: http://www.itec.co.uk/conference/day1/Education

On Wednesday the exhibition hall will remain open from 1730-1930 for the hospitality evening, where LINE will be hosting drinks on their stand, D151.

Keith Downes, Director and Defence Lead at LINE says, "We are really looking forward to exhibiting at ITEC once again as the event continues to be one of our key events in our Defence calendar. It's an opportunity to show some of the exciting work we have been doing with all three of the armed services and to engage with the defence community to better understand their challenges and needs."
