LINE to launch iPad learning at ITEC

LINE Communications, a key provider of learning and development solutions to the defence sector, will be showcasing a range of defence based projects and launching an exciting new iPad multi-user interaction programme at ITEC Defence Exhibition and Conference at Excel, London on 18th-20th of May.

Apart from conventional TBT (Technology Based Training) content developed for all three services, LINE will be demonstrating capability in mobile learning and showing a range of content examples for: iPad, UMPC Tablet, iPhone and iTouch covering subjects like Bowman, Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS)/ Technical Publications; Fire Control Orders (FCO), Royal School of Artillery multi-user interaction programme; SLDT(P) vehicle maintenance (EPSS) and Cultural Awareness.

LINE's Lead Consultant, Steve Barden will be conducting a session in the Conference, under the theme: Military Transformation and its Inherent Challenges, which aims to examine the organisational, cultural and technical issues involved to achieve success. Steve's session, titled Training Transformation for the MoD: What Really Matters? will take place on Tuesday 18th at 1545. On Wednesday the exhibition hall will remain open from 1730-1930 for the hospitality evening, where LINE will be hosting drinks on their stand, B131.

Sean Nugent, Account Manager at LINE will speak at the Innovations Showcase in the main hall (Stand on B165) on Thursday 20th at 11.30. The talk titled: 21st century learning using mobile devices, will explore how recent developments in mobile technology including the iPhone, ultra mobile PCs and tablet PCs have opened up new possibilities for delivering training to military service personnel.
