At a ceremony in London's historic Banqueting House, LINE, one of Europe's leading providers of learning and communications content, has been presented with two awards, the UK National Training Award and the Greater London regional National Training Award, both in the Partnership and Collaboration category.

The National Training Awards are the UK's most prestigious awards for training. They identify and celebrate organisations and individuals that have achieved really outstanding business and personal success through investment in training. LINE won the award for the design and delivery of a major blended learning programme for the Identity and Passport Service (IPS). Working in partnership with IPS and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LINE developed a programme which helps to combat passport fraud and identity theft. The resilience and diligence of this tripartite partnership overcame an immense training challenge to ensure that 67 new IPS offices were opened on time and were staffed with fully trained and effectively motivated teams. Since completing the roll-out of the blended programme almost 500,000 interviews have been conducted with first time adult passport applicants and customer satisfaction levels are in excess of 95%. The new interview office network is having a significant impact on both the detection and deterrence of passport fraud.

Steve Ash, Director of Sales and Marketing at LINE commented, "We're incredibly proud to receive these major awards. They provide formal recognition of the way in which we work with our clients and of our capacity to deal successfully with projects of significant scale. The results delivered by the programme are a credit to all of the people who worked so hard to create such an inspirational learning experience."

Sarah Rapson, Executive Director of Service Planning and Delivery, IPS said: "Identity theft is a global problem and the success of this programme has consequences on an international scale."
