Invesco QQQ, an exchange-traded fund that tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index™, has won Silver at the prestigious Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Awards for its collaboration with LEO Learning and PRELOADED on the learning game, ‘How Not to Suck at Money’. The award was for “Best Advance in Education Delivered Through Technology.”

How Not to Suck at Money (HNTSAM) is a free, mobile-first financial education learning game that addresses the problem of US college students lacking personal finance skills.

The web-based game offers players an interactive learning experience based on real-world financial situations and the “five secrets” of good money management. The narrative-led and purposeful gameplay explores a series of financial dilemmas, underpinned by an applied learning framework that drives real-world impact.

“We are very excited to receive such a prestigious award from Brandon Hall, for what we regard as a flagship project,” said Andrew Joly, LEO Learning’s Director of Strategic Design. “For us, it represents a huge milestone as we deliver a consumer-grade education and learning experience that is reaching and changing many people's lives—a real step change for our industry.”

Phil Stuart, PRELOADED’s Executive Creative Director said: “HNTSAM is an amazing example of how playful learning experiences can help brands deliver meaningful and measurable impact for audiences. We are incredibly proud that this game continues to reach and help students develop healthy financial habits.”

The game is free to play and can be accessed here.
