Learnlight takes part in Global Innovation Day 2018

Wednesday 13 June will see Learnlight's Head of Global Marketing, Declan Mulkeen share his expertise on how innovation and marketing are key to business success at the Global Innovation Day conference.

Learnlight is delighted to be taking part in the upcoming Global Innovation Day 2018. The annual event, which showcases best innovation practices in the Basque Country, will take place in San Sebastian, Spain on 13 June 2018.

This year the event is focused on Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) which make up 90% of Basque businesses. It is an opportunity for these companies to network with other SMEs in the region and to share their innovation challenges and solutions.

The day will start with the presentation of the Innobasque Innovation Report followed by a panel discussion. There will then be a series of talks from innovation leaders including Digital Transformation Expert, Silvia Leal, and Eduardo Anitua, President and Scientific Director of the BTI Biotechnology Institute.

The highlight of Global Innovation Day 2018 will be the "The Challenges of SMEs" workshop, a hands-on session aiming to solve the innovation needs and challenges of SMEs through dynamic presentations and success stories from industry leaders.

The session will explore five areas:

  • Financing innovation
  • Leading companies as a source of innovation
  • New business models
  • People: knowledge management, training and talent
  • New Marketing strategies

As a leading SME with a long history of working in the Basque Country, Learnlight has been invited to share its expertise on the crucial role of innovation in business growth and market competitiveness.

Head of Global Marketing at Learnlight, Declan Mulkeen, will address the marketing challenges posed by the changes in buyer behavior and share how Inbound Marketing can help SMEs to adapt to this new type of consumer.
