Mint launches Smart Translator for fast, affordable eLearning translation
Digital learning consultancy Mint has announced the launch of Smart Translator, an AI-powered tool designed to reduce the time and cost of translating digital learning content.
Available now as part of the Mint Essentials toolkit, the tool is built for teams delivering global learning who want more control over how content is translated and managed.
Translation is often handled outside the course development process, introducing delays and extra coordination. Smart Translator brings everything into one place.
By working directly with XLIFF and VTT files, users can generate AI translations across more than 100 languages while keeping layouts, formatting and interactions intact. The tool is compatible with platforms including Intellum Evolve, Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
To support quality and accuracy, users can invite internal stakeholders or linguistic experts into the tool to review and refine translations before export.
“We built Smart Translator so that anyone can manage the translation process themselves. By using AI for the heavy lifting and allowing users to bring reviewers directly into the tool, we’ve made the process faster, more direct and accessible for everyone, from internal L&D teams, freelancers, to large agencies.” Wes Atkinson, CTO at Mint.
Customers are already seeing positive impact from using the tool:
“It’s helped us globalise our off-the-shelf courses at a fraction of what it used to cost. The tool is easy to use and only takes a couple of minutes.” Ross Garner, CLO at Mindtools Kineo.
Learning Technologies 2026
Smart Translator will be showcased at Learning Technologies 2026 on Stand C45, alongside other tools in the Mint Essentials toolkit, including the PowerPoint Extractor and Evolve to Word Converter.
