BFBS Academy puts visual storytelling on Learning Live agenda
BFBS Academy will put visual storytelling and its role in organisational change at the centre of its participation at Learning Live in London on 16 and 17 September.
BFBS Academy will attend Learning Live next week, where the team will discuss the importance of visual storytelling when organisations communicate change.
As organisations introduce new technologies and processes, BFBS Academy says the ability to communicate transformation clearly is increasingly important, but can be overlooked. While change itself is nothing new for most organisations, communicating it in a way that people understand and engage with is not always straightforward.
The Academy's team of trainers works with public sector organisations and says there is no one-size-fits-all approach to communicating change, with different departments and audiences requiring different context.
Its CPD-accredited Visual Storytelling course covers ways to simplify complex and jargon-filled processes to create clear, accessible stories for a diverse workforce. BFBS Academy says this is particularly relevant as organisations adopt technologies including AI workflows that alter the way teams and individuals work.
The training looks at how organisations can create an engaging narrative from data-heavy information and use visual communication to bring that information to life for relevant audiences.
BFBS Academy says storytelling is often seen as the responsibility of internal communications teams, but it is increasingly relevant to other teams that need to communicate difficult or complex information clearly.
June MacMahon, Head of BFBS Academy, said: 'Change is rarely experienced in the same way across a business. Visual storytelling gives people a way to make sense of complicated information and to understand how it will impact them.'
BFBS Academy provides communications and content training for government, defence, corporate and public sector organisations.
The Academy will be at stand 58 at Learning Live, which takes place in London on 16 and 17 September.
