Articulate takes training creation beyond L&D with Frontline
Articulate is extending training creation to operational teams, while keeping L&D at the centre of learning standards and governance.
Articulate has launched Frontline, a product for teams outside L&D to create workplace training, alongside Nova, an AI agent for content creation and translation workflows.
The launches are part of Articulate’s biggest platform development since Articulate 360 was introduced a decade ago. The company is adding training distribution, governance and analytics to its established course-authoring products.
Frontline is intended for sales enablement, customer success, support, IT, product marketing and operations teams, as well as L&D.
Users can turn documents and presentations into training kits containing guides, quick-reference materials, interactive videos, scenarios and training decks. Training can be distributed through trackable links, with surveys and analytics covering engagement and completion.
Frontline allows operational teams to create and maintain training using their own business content, while Articulate envisages L&D setting brand requirements, learning standards and governance.
Articulate calls this a ‘capability architect’ role for L&D, with learning teams setting standards without producing every training asset.
‘The constraint has never been your expertise. The constraint has been how far that expertise can reach,’ said Brian Gil, chief product and operations officer at Articulate.
Articulate said Gil drew on more than 100 customer conversations in which expertise, and often training, already existed inside organisations but could not keep pace with change or reach all the teams that needed it.
Nova connects AI workflows
Nova is embedded across Articulate 360 AI and Frontline and can carry out multi-stage creation workflows.
It can turn source material into training kits, generate presenter-led AI avatar videos and translate content into more than 80 languages. Training-kit generation is available through Frontline.
Existing products including Rise, Storyline, Review and Reach remain part of Articulate 360 AI.
Articulate has added connections to Google Drive and OneDrive for importing documents and presentations. Users can also initiate training creation in Articulate 360 from ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
A new native integration with Thinkific allows training to be published directly to Thinkific Plus. Connected packages can be used with other learning management systems to keep published content synchronised when the source is updated.
Nova is available to eligible Articulate 360 customers, with 20,000 launch credits per user and a maximum of 100,000 credits per subscription included at no additional cost. Frontline uses the same credit system and does not require an Articulate 360 authoring seat.
The products were announced at Articuland 2026 in Orlando on 10 September.
