At Learning Technologies 2019 Learning News caught up with learning evaluation expert, Will Thalheimer, to find out the latest on the learning sector’s quest to improve how and what it measures.
Will talks about a new learning evaluation model which he introduced in 2018, Learning Transfer Evaluatuion Model (LTEM), which helps L&D professionals to cut through to assess what's effective and what's not.
Will makes the point that learning evaluation is complex, with many, many things to think about and often L&D teams can get distracted and confused with what to evaluate. He explains how evaluation needs to focus on the most imortant decisions that need to be made.
