Understanding skills: Jonathan Munk, Degreed
Jonathan Munk at Learning Live 2019 calls for business to focus on skills and provides an update on Degreed’s international expansion.
At Learning Live last month in London, Degreed’s head of corporate development and strategy, Jonathan Munk, took part in an expert panel on how to make digital transformation work.
Jonathan’s message was a call for businesses to focus on the skills of their people, pointing out that digital transformation will only become a reality for those businesses with a comprehensive grasp of their skills: what skills do they have, what new skills are needed, how to measure skills, as well as how to develop them.
He points out that we need to start talking in the language of skills and take steps to understand and utilise the data around skills.
We also asked Jonathan for an update on Degreed’s plans following a significant $75 million investment in the business earlier this year.
