Intec Business Colleges announces its 25th year as one of the UK's leading training providers working with organisations large and small to provide first-class work-based learning.

Intec was set up in 1982 to offer individuals the chance to carry on their education within a workplace environment. The company has graduated from working with small businesses within the manufacturing sector to providing qualifications to employees at a diverse range of organisations such as Royal Mail, Norwich Union and HSBC.

Intec was set up by John Herman from a unit on an industrial estate in Rugby, Warwickshire. Now the company has five offices throughout the UK and a nationwide field team of trainers and assessors. Over the past 25 years the staff has grown from just four to around 120 people working both on the educational frontline and as vital support.

Around 25,000 learners have passed through a variety of LSC-supported Intec training courses, taking anything from a Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service to a Management training course at Level 5.

John Herman, Founder and Managing Director of Intec, says: "Over the past 25 years I have seen the training industry change with new legislation and guidelines being brought in. But it is a credit to everyone who has worked with me over that time that Intec has moved with those changes to consistently provide learners with the best possible training."

"Only through training can people achieve their true potential - I truly believe education should continue when people leave school and we pride ourselves on helping employers to provide continued learning to their staff."
Despite the shift towards national contracts, Intec retains offices in Rugby, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Oxford and Nottingham, and continues to work with local companies in these areas. For this 25th year and those that come after, Intec aims to maintain its high standards both on existing contracts and new business.

John Herman says: "We have reached a quarter century by focusing on providing the best possible services to our clients and as we continue to grow and develop this will remain our top priority."
