Intec Business Colleges is calling on employers to act fast if they wish to secure some of the new Government funding to train employers aged 21 and under.

Until the end of July, companies can put forward young employees to train for nationally recognised qualifications at a substantially reduced cost. Intec, which is one of the largest independent training organisations in the UK, is currently signing up Apprentices in Business Administration, Customer Service, Call Handling, Distribution & Warehousing and Retail. Employees who successfully complete the programme will receive a National Vocational Qualification, which is recognised across the UK as a certificate of competence.

Nicola Allman, Marketing Manager for Intec Business Colleges explains:

“The benefits to employers of vocational qualifications programmes are well-documented. As well as improving staff motivation and confidence, NVQs have been shown to cut staff turnover, increase productivity and enhance performance. This new funding from the Learning & Skills Council is only available until the end of July so companies need to act quickly if they want to take advantage of it.”

Apprenticeships and National Vocational Qualifications are central to Government plans to improve the skills and knowledge of young people to enable them to compete alongside the best. Candidates complete a programme of work-based learning that is directly relevant to the job they do.
