IDTX Virtual Summit 2026 opens call for speakers as community-first conference returns
The IDTX event series has issued an open call for speakers ahead of its one-day virtual conference on 22 October 2026, inviting learning and development and performance enablement professionals to share evidence-informed practice with the wider industry.
IDTX has announced that its Virtual Summit will return on 22 October 2026 and that, from today, it is accepting speaking proposals through an open call for speakers.
Now in its sixth year, IDTX stages a one-day online conference dedicated to sharing best practice and the lessons that practitioners and leaders have learned across the year.
Submissions are open up to and including 30th July 2026, with the organisers seeking sessions of either 30 or 45 minutes. Everyone is welcome, whether you're an experienced conference speaker or someone taking their first steps onto the virtual stage with something exciting to share.
Proposals will be assessed against three simple criteria: is it interesting; is it useful; and is it evidence-informed? The event prioritises the voices of passionate practitioners, leaders, and thinkers from across the industry, bringing together well-known names alongside speakers that audiences may never have heard before.
The Virtual Summit is an event that welcomes speakers presenting challenging views or asking big, difficult questions; evidence-informed practice, however, remains foundational with no room on the stage for pseudo-science.
Sessions must be non-commercial in nature and cannot be used to promote a product or service of any kind.
The summit will once again be chaired by Tom McDowall. “The virtual summit always brings together incredible voices asking challenging and provocative questions,” he said. “I’m excited to hear from this year’s speakers and learn alongside the audience.”
