The Association for Talent Development (ATD) has released its latest title, Ready, Set, Curate to the UK market ahead of the Learning Technologies show in London, this week. Author Ben Betts will be speaking about the book at the Learning Technologies Exhibition.

Author Ben Betts will be speaking about the book at the Learning Technologies Exhibition, Wednesday 3rd Feb at 14.45 and will be available on stand J6 to talk about his latest work.

Ben Betts is CEO of HT2, the R&D company for L&D. Having created the Curatr social learning platform, Ben has seen his fair share of ‘curated’ learning experiences.

Ben commented, “In our digital world we are content rich, but quality poor. We’ve had a number of years experience using digital curation for workplace learning with some fantastic results. In this book Allison Anderson and I pulled together our thoughts with other industry thought-leaders like Nigel Paine, David Kelly and Robin Good to give the reader a great primer on digital curation for learning”.

Justin Brusino, Community of Practice Manager for Learning Technologies at ATD, says that developing a curation strategy will become vital for organisational learning professionals in coming years.

“Ready, Set, Curate shows you how to elevate the most important content from an endless sea of learning information and offers strategies to better connect with your audience. Using case studies and relevant examples, our eight curation experts share tips and best practices for creating a curation strategy and collecting content that is relevant to your learning communities”.

Learning Technologies speaker Aaron Silvers added, “Ben and Allison have put together an important resource to empower learning professionals to shift their practice from producers of content to curators of meaningful, valuable resources in support of their audience”.

To accompany the launch of the book, HT2 has announced a free course, also entitled ‘Ready, Set, Curate’, which is CPD accredited and filled with useful content and community links to help L&D professionals get started with digital curation.

Available from the Curatr Free Courses page, Ready, Set, Curate will be available throughout the year for L&D professionals to dip in and out as they please whilst earning CPD hours for their self-development. The book is available to purchase now from Amazon in both print and e-book format and will also be available on the HT2 stand (J6) at Learning Technologies.
