Training company Happy Ltd was this week rated as one of the UK's Best Workplaces for the 5th successive year. The company won the prestigious Laureate status as one of the few companies to have made the list five times in a row.

This year Happy Ltd came 6th in the Small Business Best Workplaces list. The Laureate award recognises the company as consistently one of the best places to work in the country.

"This is a key priority of Happy", explains Chief Executive Henry Stewart. "A workplace where people feel valued, motivated and good about themselves is a productive and effective workplace.

"I would encourage other businesses to go down this route. Helping organisations create great workplaces is the fastest growing part of our business and we know, from experience, how business culture can be changed - with great results."

The Best Workplace survey is based on every member of staff being surveyed to rate the organisation they work for.

Happy has a range of approaches to support its people, raning from life balance to trusting people and giving them freedom to work out how best to do the job. Staff can even choose their managers.

"One of the principle causes of people leaving most companies is their manager", continues Henry. "At Happy if it is not working out with your current manager, there is a simple solution. We ask people to choose a different one."
