TechQuarters, a Firebrand Apprenticeship partner, was last night crowned Small Employer of the Year in the Regional finals of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2014. The award recognises their continued contribution, commitment and success through their Apprenticeship programme. TechQuarters will now compete in the National finals, to be recognised as the best Small Employer of Apprentices in the United Kingdom.
Firebrand apprentice, Kimberley Bolton, made history recently by becoming the first female to win a Microsoft Apprentice of the Year award in the Medium Business Category. Kimberley's achievement is another important step towards addressing the gender imbalance, where women make up less than 16% of the IT industry workforce.
Firebrand Apprentice Kimberley Bolton was last night crowned Microsoft Apprentice of the Year at the awards ceremony in the House of Commons. Firebrand Apprentice partners Hitachi and Pythagoras were also highly commended as Apprentice Employers.
