Filtered Announces New Chair and Two New Board Observers

LONDON, UK, 24 July, 2023: Filtered, the leader in content intelligence, announces a new Chair of the Board: Susan Steele, and two new Board Observers — Greg Detre and Amanda Nolen from 1st July 2023.

With the move, Filtered further strengthens its position as one of the industry’s most innovative companies.

Susan Steele, Chair of the Board, is a highly experienced corporate advisor known for scaling listed, private equity-backed and venture capital-funded technology businesses. She brings a rare blend of educational technology, corporate learning and investment banking skills to Filtered. She is currently Chief People Officer of Ebiquity Plc, and previously held talent leadership roles at Deloitte, WPP and IBM after an earlier career in investment banking. 

Greg Detre co-founded Memrise.com, which has helped tens of millions of people around the world learn hundreds of languages. He is an applied machine learning expert (Oxford, Harvard, Princeton) and team-builder (2019 UK ‘Best data & analytics team’ while Chief Data Scientist at Channel 4). He has helped some of the top startups in London with AI, data, engineering, and product, including Big Health, Unitary, Heights, and Filtered.

Amanda Nolen brings expertise from her extensive tenure in learning technologies as strategic advisor to Global Fortune 500 businesses, vendors and investors. Amanda is co-founder of NilesNolen, author of a popular LinkedIn Learning course “The Future of Workplace Learning” and professor at IE Business School.

These appointments will bring an energy and expertise to sharpen Filtered’s mission to bring data, technology and order to the chaotic world of corporate learning content. They will collaborate closely with Filtered’s CEO, Marc Zao-Sanders, to play a crucial role in shaping the organization's strategic direction, fostering innovation, and maintaining their position at the forefront of generative AI technology in learning.
