Redefining organizational learning
A new book from Nigel Paine poses a rethink for learning at work.
Learning News caught up with international speaker, author and broadcaster, Dr Nigel Paine, ahead of the publication of his latest book, The Great Reset: Redefining and Rethinking Organizational Learning, due out soon.
Nigel argues that no single individual can determine an organization's path to success; instead, a collective, connected approach to learning is essential.
Nigel Paine explains: “We need to reset our attitude to Learning and Development, both with Learning and Development teams and within organizations, to shift away from individual learning: an obsession almost with talent, personalised, narrow-focus on getting people competent, to focussing beyond that on to how we create learning inside the organization, that moves around really fast and that people have regular access to. So that the organization gets smarter as well as the individual staff.”
Once published a link to buy the book willl be available on Nigel Paine's website.
