9 out of 10 want greater professionalisation in L&D

Learning professionals are struggling to keep up with the pace of change, do not put sufficient time and effort into their development, are calling for greater professional and career choices and are confused about what it means to be a learning professional, according to research from the Learning Network.
Its headline findings include that 91% want greater professionalisation of the learning industry, through qualifications and career pathways.
The research also looks into how the sector is progressing with measurement and analytics, equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging, advanced technology, and health and wellbeing. It shows that less than 40% find it easy to quantify return on investment and that just 2% strongly agree the learning industry attracts new talent from diverse backgrounds.
