Learning NewsEpic

Epic is delighted to announce that its parent company, Learning Technologies Group plc (LTG), has today announced that it will acquire LINE Communications.

LINE will join Epic to form the UK market leader in the e-learning custom content market, and the combined company will have the requisite size, scope and reach to deliver complex, global  learning solutions.

The merger of LINE and Epic brings together two highly respected leaders in e-learning with complementary objectives and skill sets. LINE brings a strong record in consultancy, thought leadership and strategic partnering to the new business and will continue to deliver these hallmarks to its existing and new clients.

Jonathan Satchell, CEO of LTG, commented:

“This transaction will increase our capability and geographic reach to meet market demand. LTG’s subsidiary Epic, and LINE, have strong complementary services and products and will combine leading teams in the market. These solid credentials in learning technologies will provide a platform for further growth and market consolidation.”

The senior management team will remain with the business. Piers Lea will join the Board as Chief Strategy Officer of LTG shortly, once the Board has finalised its search for an additional independent non executive director.
