Epic wins prestigious International E-learning Award for mobile learning
The 2013 International E-learning Awards have been announced, and for the second year in a row, Epic has won in the mobile learning category. Epic and Alfred Dunhill were announced as the Runner up winners for their product knowledge apps, which also picked up a bronze award in the UK at the E-learning Age Awards.
Announced at the annual awards ceremony in New York on the 14th June 2013, the International E-learning Awards (IELA) marked the conclusion of the International Conference for E-learning in the Workplace.
For the winning entry, Epic helped Alfred Dunhill undergo a complete overhaul of its product knowledge training. Epic developed a suite of mobile learning apps to help support just-in-time learning that were accessed by store employees via in-store iPads.
“We’re honoured to have our highly successful learning with Alfred Dunhill recognised by this award,” said Chief Executive Jonathan Satchell. “It’s a testament to the hard work of the team and their continued drive to create effective mobile learning apps and multi-device learning.”
Epic also exhibited at ICELW and presented a highly popular session on multi-device learning. ‘Moving to a multi-device world: five ways to reach learners anywhere, anytime’ was presented by Imogen Casebourne, Director of Learning, and Ruth Haddon Epic USA’s COO. This interactive session included live polling of the audience and ended with a competitive race against the clock to complete a learning game.
