Last night, Epic was delighted to win three awards in the prestigious E-Learning Age Awards in London, including the silver award in the coveted and highly competitive category ‘Excellence in the production of learning content – private sector’.

The glitzy award ceremony took place on 7th November at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London. With more than 200 submissions for this year’s awards, the quantity and quality of submissions highlights the strength and breadth of our industry.

The full list of Epic’s awards is as follows:

  • Silver winner for ‘Excellence in the production of learning content – private sector’ with QVC
  • Silver winner for ‘Best use of social media for learning’ with Lloyds Banking Group and Talking Talent
  • Bronze winner for ‘Best e-learning project – not for profit sector’ with Civil Service Learning

Chief Executive Jonathan Satchell said:

“These three awards are a wonderful recognition of the contributions of our valued customers and staff. As always, they are only achieved because of the fantastic talents and efforts of the entire project team, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them.”

These awards come on the heels of another momentous announcement. Following yesterday’s General Meeting and approval of the resolutions, Learning Technologies Group plc (LTG) officially commenced trading on AIM this morning.  LTG has been created with the purpose of building a market-leading business of substance and scale within the exciting and fast-growing learning technologies sector, and Epic will form the cornerstone of the newly enlarged group.

“It’s been an exciting time for Epic and our performance at the awards is the perfect complement to our recent listing on AIM,” said Jonathan Satchell.

Epic’s bronze award in partnership with Civil Service Learning for ‘Best e-learning project – not for profit sector’ was described as ‘a logistical triumph’ by the judges. All three awards reflect the hard work of the teams and the fantastic relationship between Epic and its customers.

Epic would like to congratulate all the winners and nominees of the 2013 E-Learning Awards with particular congratulations to Resuscitation Council UK and Unit 9 who scooped 4 Gold awards and a Silver, and City & Guilds Kineo who take over the coveted ‘Company of the Year’ award.
