Epic expands its digital learning resources offering
Epic has announced the expansion of its digital learning resources offering, including HD video, infographics and animations.
As the growing trend within the industry for offering 'resources not courses' becomes more prominent, the award-winning company increased its focus on creating in-house digital learning resources by forming a dedicated team of professionals from the video industry. In the past few years, it has become increasingly easy to deliver rich media resources such as video because of better bandwidth. This has led to the growing trend of people expecting to learn by watching YouTube or other videos on their mobile phones, which in turn leads to a shift from delivering one-shot courses to more flexible resources.
"We've always advocated using digital learning resources to make learning more effective, and recently more organisations are recognising the value of this approach," said Imogen Casebourne, Epic's Director of Learning. "We often recommend that a short video or bespoke animation would be more effective in certain situations than an e-learning course."
That's why Epic has expanded the team that develops these high-quality digital assets to satisfy the industry's growing appetite for standalone and blended learning resources.
Epic's learning resources offering includes various types of digital assets including:
- Video - informal interviews, dramas, interactive and promotional videos
- Animation - dynamic text, papermations, whiteboard animations or bespoke
- Audio - podcasts, voiceover and mobile audio tracks
- Infographics - still and animated
- Photography - studio photography and 360-degree panoramic photography.
