Development Director for eLearning provider Engage in Learning, Kim Whitmore, has been awarded a competitive Learning Technologies Award for Learning Designer of the Year 2017. The winners were revealed at a spectacular gala evening on 29th November at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge Hotel in London, further testament to how the hard work and dedication that goes into creating the best online training solutions for businesses continues to pay off.

Engage in Learning enjoyed rapid progress during 2017, including securing new contracts as training providers for Sky and OCS, adding to their already impressive client base of small businesses, local government and multi-national companies. This all came in addition to the continuing success of pushing technological boundaries within their products, such as creating the new course-wide Speed-eLearning function and HTML5 technologies.

In addition to being shortlisted for seven other eLearning awards over the past three years, this year Engage in Learning were also shortlisted for both the Best Learning Technologies Project and the Excellence in the Design of Learning Content categories for a bespoke project rolled out for telecommunications giant Vodafone, which affects its operations from product design, marketing, customer communications and more. But it was Development Director, Kim Whitmore, who secured a win and was awarded Bronze for Learning Designer of the Year at the prestigious Learning Technologies Awards ceremony.

“Kim has a long pedigree in instructional design, a great reputation, and has built very strong relationships with clients”, Judges at the Learning Technologies ceremony said when presenting the award.

Indeed, Kim has a strong history in eLearning instructional design which dates back to 1985. However, never one for the limelight, Kim has always let her work do the talking, which includes eight gold awards and countless silvers, but 2017 has been her most impressive year yet. She has harnessed new HTML5 technologies and gaming constructs and produced brilliant innovative designs. But most importantly, she leaves a trail of delighted clients, who testify powerfully on her behalf. You can view some of these testimonials on the Engage in Learning website.

“A clear visionary, Kim works tirelessly to ensure that all eLearning products are designed with a well-tuned aptitude for the psychology of human-computer interaction in mind. This, coupled with her ability to master the most up-to-date developments, including HTML5 and gaming constructs, means that customers are always supplied with an innovative, accessible and thoroughly engaging eLearning experience. It is without a doubt that this award is well deserved”, said James Morelli-Green, Marketing Manager for Engage in Learning.

Engage in Learning will be on hand to demonstrate just why they are an award-winning eLearning solutions provider, as well as offering insight into how they have harnessed this to create General Data Protection Regulation training packages suitable for all organisational tiers, at the 2018 Learning Technologies exhibition on Stand L1. Learning and Development leaders and training managers keen to learn more about a huge range of innovative learning technologies and staff training solutions are encouraged to register for the event or even book an appointment to meet up with members of the Engage in Learning team on the stand by calling 0845 4560465 or emailing [email protected].
