Coursecheck reaches one million verified learner reviews

One million learner reviews have now been collected through Coursecheck, creating a unique source of insight into how the training experience is changing.

Training evaluation platform Coursecheck has reached a major milestone, with its one millionth verified learner review submitted this month.

Every Coursecheck review is linked to a specific course and submitted by a learner who attended it, creating an independent, verified record of their experience.

Individually, those reviews help training providers understand what's working, identify opportunities to improve and demonstrate the quality of their training. Together, they also provide a rich source of data on how the learner experience has evolved.

What can one million reviews tell us?

To mark the milestone, Coursecheck has been analysing its review data, uncovering some interesting trends.

Across the responses analysed, the average course rating is 4.74 out of 5. Average ratings have risen from 4.64 in 2019 to 4.79 in 2026, while the proportion of learners awarding five stars has increased from 70% to 82% over the same period.

The data also shows how the training landscape has evolved. Virtual training has seen particularly strong improvements since 2019, closing much of the gap with face-to-face training. And while face-to-face courses continue to receive slightly higher overall ratings, learners now rate virtual and face-to-face instructors almost identically.

Coursecheck CEO and Founder Chris Wigglesworth said:

“We're incredibly proud to have reached one million reviews. Every one represents a learner having their say and a training provider with an opportunity to listen and improve. Together, they also give us a unique view of how the training experience is changing – and there are some fascinating insights in the data.”

Coursecheck is continuing to explore what its first million reviews can tell us about course ratings, delivery methods, the evolution of virtual training and effective training evaluation, with further insights from the data to be published in the coming weeks.
