CIM steps up learning and development support for members

CIM offering additional support to members during tough time for the marketing sector and wider economy.

  • Access to online courses for renewing and new CIM members launched to help marketers continue their learning and development

  • Courses include the ‘Marketing Fundamentals’ and ‘Marketing and Brand Strategy’ 

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has today announced that from the 25th November, new and renewing graded CIM members will be given a month’s access to online courses worth £249.

Marketers will receive 30 days access to either the ‘Marketing Fundamentals’ or ‘Marketing and Brand Strategy’ online course when they join or renew their existing membership.

The move is aimed at offering additional support to marketers in their learning and professional development, at a time they need it most. With the UK economy and the marketing sector feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, CIM hopes members will take this opportunity to improve their marketing skills.  

CIM is giving members access to courses targeted specifically for their level and experience:

Support for renewing and new marketing executives - Marketers with three years’ marketing experience can join as an Associate (ACIM)and be eligible to receive 30 days access to the online ‘Marketing Fundamentals’. This course is designed to help professionals develop their skills and knowledge needed to plan and measure an effective marketing communications campaign and to develop other core fundamental marketing principles. 

Support for renewing and new marketing managers and directors - Marketers joining as a member (MCIM) with 5 to 10 years’ experience, or a Fellow (FCIM), with 10 to 15 years’ experience , will be eligible to receive 30 days access to the online ‘Marketing and Brand Strategy course’. This course is aimed at marketers looking to develop their strategic marketing planning skills.

Access to these courses is in addition to a growing portfolio of online support services which include webinars, podcasts and training materials.
