Inditex and busuu initiated their collaboration in 2017 and have now expanded the ‘busuu for Business’ language learning programme to over 50 markets where Inditex is present. The company, which owns brands like Zara, Bershka and Massimo Dutti, aims to upskill their staff in retail outlets worldwide to improve the customer experience.
busuu offers language courses in 12 languages, a placement test, official language certification and is available on web and mobile with offline mode. Employees achieve better learning outcomes through practice with native speakers, tapping into busuu’s 80 million-strong global community.

For Inditex, developing solid language skills and employees’ confidence when speaking with international customers is key to improving customer service. To accommodate this need, busuu developed a bespoke course in English that covers customers’ in-store journey, which has seen a fantastic overall engagement from staff.

busuu sees the increasing need for mobile language training in international facing industries such as hospitality, airlines and retail, and is planning further investments in these areas.
