Video learning to improve learning effectiveness

Brighton, UKLearning NewsBrightwave Group

Brightwave shares collaborative insight into the latest development techniques in interactive video production and game-based learning as part of the main conference programme at this year's World of Learning Conference and Exhibition.

Brightwave's Head of Production, Dan Jones parts with his honed insight and shares Brightwave's leading expertise on how to produce video with maximum impact, including the development of fast paced game-based interactive film.

Dan said: "Interactive video combines the compulsion of gaming and power of storytelling, increasing attention, engagement and satisfaction. Brightwave recently built an innovative solution for a global leader in the alcoholic beverage industry, using interactive film, gaming and first person role-play via immersive scenarios to augment their face-to-face training. We are developing more and more solutions that incorporate these techniques as the trend for video-based content of all forms continues."

Dan is accompanied on stage by Tim Drewitt, a learning specialist with over twenty years’ practical experience of designing, implementing, integrating and evaluating the use of digital learning media within the corporate sector.

The World of Learning Conference and Exhibition 2015 takes place 29th–30th September at the NEC Birmingham. Brightwave's session entitled "Video learning to improve learning effectiveness" is held on Tuesday, 29th September 2:30pm–3:20pm.

Brightwave's practical guide explores using video in training, how to use it well, and why there has never been a better time than now to be using it to support learning in the workplace.
