Increasingly, people are finding live, online training to be a convenient and environmentally friendly alternative to face-to-face workplace training, reflected by exponential growth (+881%) in LiveTime Learning user figures. The seminar also dovetails with this year's National Learning at Work Day 'Future Matters' theme - developing skills for a changing local and global economy.

Paul Monaghan said of the forthcoming seminar: "The Co-operative lead the way on these issues primarily because it is the right thing to do. In some respects pioneering an ethical approach to business can be complicated, but at its heart lie two simple considerations - asking people what they want while not being afraid of the answers, and building trust with stakeholders and NGOs. It would be terrific if more businesses took this message onboard."

LiveTime's Managing Director Matt Turner said of the collaboration: "We are very pleased to team up with The Co-operative on this important subject. Furthermore, we look forward to participating with learners from around the UK in finding ways to apply practical, sustainable approaches to everyday business and thus be better prepared for the demands of the global economy."

Tricia Hartley, Chief Executive of the Campaign for Learning, which organises Learning at Work Day said: "The Co-operative and LiveTime’s collaboration perfectly reflects the ethos of Learning at Work Day, which is all about sharing knowledge and understanding that has a positive impact all year round. We’re delighted that they have decided to mark the Day with this important seminar."
