Learning technology specialist Brightwave is teaming up with Sky to co-host a one day event 'Time to make a difference - e-learning strategies to support business'. The conference, aimed at helping organisations develop effective e-learning plans, has now moved to a bigger venue due to a large level of interest.

Sponsored by Sky and chaired by Donald H Taylor (Chairman, Learning and Skills Group & Chairman, Learning Technologies Conference), this innovative and interactive day will help internal L&D teams plan how to best support their organisations with e-learning.

Renowned workplace learning figures will challenge, inspire and share best practice. Speakers include Donald Clark (Board member Learndirect, Learning Pool & Caspian Learning), Laura Overton (Managing Director, Towards Maturity), Kenny Henderson (Head of Talent Development Operations, Sky) and Charles Gould (Managing Director, Brightwave).

The day includes:
• Four things L&D must do to make an impact in the next decade
• Understanding what success looks like and how to measure it
• Best practice in design and aligning design to business objectives
• Award-winning e-learning case studies
• Key note debate (voted the best seminar session at Learning Technologies 2011) "A road map to 2020: How can learning technologies support fast-changing business practice?"

Unlike other events, 'Time to make a difference' is actively encouraging organisations to bring an internal team so that they can network, share the experience and exposure to latest industry thinking with colleagues and together take the ideas back into the business. Laura Overton will lead the last session and provide a take-away framework for achieving this.

Kenny Henderson, Head of Talent Development Operations for Sky, said:
“My vision for this event was to put together a thought provoking day which would inspire and enable internal teams from leading organisations to take new ideas and actions back to their organisation. It’s great to be able to bring such a selection of key speakers to Scotland to share their expertise, knowledge and experience.”

Brightwave Managing Director Charles Gould said:
"If you use e-learning as a key business strategy - rather than a tactical training tool - you'll get better results. Time to make a difference is about how learning technologies can make an impact in different areas of the business. We're delighted to team up with Sky for what promises to be a valuable event for L&D teams."
