ScottishPower chooses BrightWave

Learning NewsBrightwave Group

ScottishPower are to use BrightWave's WavePool methodology to develop bespoke e-Learning content across the organisation.

When ScottishPower business units decided to supplement their classroom training with online training content, they were determined to keep their in-house subject experts at the heart of the process.

And this led ScottishPower Learning straight to BrightWave whose WavePool methodology enables clients to develop their own e-Learning applications.

"We looked at what was available and WavePool offers a flexible way of developing and deploying bespoke e-Learning content so that the subject experts are in control." said Douglas Thomson, IT manager for ScottishPower Learning.

ScottishPower discovered that most e-Learning providers are only able to offer a fully outsourced production process, while BrightWave will apply its expertise and years of experience in support of ScottishPower's own subject matter experts.

The proprietary WavePool methodology allows for close collaboration: BrightWave supplies the e-Learning design expertise, the development process and the authoring capability. ScottishPower author the content using subject experts, supported by their own e-Learning consultants.

Director of ScottishPower Learning, Paul McKelvie added, "We are keen to develop a close collaborative working relationship with BrightWave."
