Webanywhere to launch new-look integrated e-learning system at BETT Show 2014
Webanywhere will be marking its 10th anniversary at this year’s BETT Show, by announcing the latest version of School Jotter, its market leading website management system.
School Jotter now has a new user interface that supports a suite of education apps. The system is also fully optimised for mobile and tablet viewing.
Two brand new apps will be launched in February, and will be available to try out at the BETT Show. Jotter Learn allows teachers to create department and classroom websites - giving them a secure online location to assign work, and provide an information resource for pupils. These ‘learning sites’ can be created to support any subject or assignment.
Jotter Learn also allows resources and lesson plans to be shared between schools, with the aim of building a ‘School Jotter community.’
The School Merits app allows pupils to be rewarded online. Teachers can bulk assign classes and year groups with ‘merits’ - an online currency which pupils can use to build avatars and donate to charity. Teachers can track progress through online reporting and parents can see how well their child is doing in school.
Webanywhere customers will be upgraded to the new version of School Jotter for free, and the Jotter Learn and School Merits apps can be purchased as an additional extra.
Sean Gilligan, owner of Webanywhere, said: “We are continuously improving School Jotter so that it always meets teachers’ needs - but our latest launch is its biggest improvement yet.
“By making School Jotter a fully integrated suite of apps, taking learning online is now easier than ever. Whether it’s tracking progress, increasing engagement or improving learning outcomes, School Jotter and the apps that it supports are an essential tool for supporting schools’ needs. We’re confident that School Merits, Jotter Learn and the other apps we have in development will transform the effectiveness of e-learning in schools.
“We welcome anyone attending BETT to come and see us - you’ll be able to see all our new products in action before they become available in February.”
BETT takes place in London at Excel from 22 to 25 January. Webanywhere can be found at stand F380. Visitors to the stand will be able to take advantage of upto 10% off the company’s products - for further information see the Webanywhere BETT Show brochure.
