e-Learning and web solutions company Webanywhere has been included in TrainingIndustry.com's 2013 list of Top 20 Workforce Development Providers.

The list, compiled by industry news and information website trainingindustry.com, features 20 leading companies in the workforce learning industry. Webanywhere, and the other 19 companies on the list were announced this week.

Trainingindustry.com annually reviews the work of companies worldwide in providing effective and innovative training products and services. Compiling eight lists, which cover everything from IT and sales training to leadership and content development, they judge training industry companies on:

  • Industry visibility, innovation and impact
  • Capability to develop and deliver customised corporate training services
  • Depth and breadth of subject matter expertise
  • Organisation size and growth potential
  • Quality of clients
  • Geographic reach

The purpose of these lists is to help businesses find the best providers for the training and education solutions they need. Ken Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, TrainingIndustry.com, said: "The providers selected for this year's Top 20 are a unique group of organisations focused on meeting the needs of corporations in developing the workforces."

Webanywhere has grown from a national supplier of school e-learning solutions in 2003 to a global provider of workplace learning, and now, with clients in the business, public and not-for-profit sectors, has seen a lot of growth in the workforce development sector recently.

Conor Gilligan, Head of the Workplace Learning division at Webanywhere, said: "I believe our passion for helping organisations to improve the effectiveness of their training through online technologies is what has made the likes of Safeway Inc, British Safety Council, Wind Mobile and Domino's Pizza decide to work with us.

"We now have clients in over 20 countries - and I believe this is down to the time and investment we've put into making our workforce development solutions market-leading."

Sean Gilligan, Webanywhere CEO, added: "I'm very happy, and we are honoured as a company, to be recognised for the strides we are making in Workforce Development. I am also extremely proud of the the fact that we have been able to create over 70 new jobs over the last two years, and will continue to invest in making our solutions better to continue this success."
