WBT Systems Identified As LMS Leader in Gartner Report

Learning NewsTopClass LMS by WBT Systems

WBT Systems today announced that it has been identified as a leader in the LMS (Learning Management System) market in the Gartner 2002 LMS Magic Quadrant report - the only European vendor to receive such a distinction.

The report is the culmination of research by Gartner Group's e-Learning specialists and clearly identifies WBT Systems in the leadership quadrant due to its prominence in both 'Ability to Execute' and 'Completeness of Vision', the two key criteria used in the report. This latest publication of the report includes nearly twice as many vendors as before, showing that WBT Systems is a leader in what has become an increasingly competitive sector.

"Gartner identifies the characteristics of LMS leaders, such as WBT Systems, as those vendors demonstrating scalable product capabilities and features, a strong installed base, solid financial performance and good distribution" commented Paul Dooley, COO of WBT Systems. "As enterprises worldwide expand their deployment of e-Learning solutions, it is critical they work with a vendor that has sound vision and the ability to execute. Only in this way will they be able to deliver value today, and in the future. Gartner has clearly identified WBT Systems as a company that can do both."

In addition to this accolade TopClass was recently identified by independent e-Learning consultancy Brandon-Hall.com as one of the best overall LCMS (Learning Content Management Systems) in their latest report. "Customers are increasingly realising that both LMS and LCMS functionality is required to for a successful e-Learning implementation and that the technologies are complementary." stated Duncan Lennox, CTO of WBT Systems. "TopClass was the only product identified as a leader in both categories in these independent reports. This proves what our customers already know, that TopClass has the breadth of functionality and the quality to produce, deliver and manage world class e-Learning programs."
