Virtual College’s seminar at World of Learning - ‘Reforming apprenticeships: a digital approach’
At this year’s World of Learning Conference, Virtual College will be delivering a timely and engaging seminar entitled ‘Reforming apprenticeships: a digital approach’.
Highly relevant to organisations looking at how to maximise their apprenticeship levy, the seminar will explore the place of digital learning content in the delivery of apprenticeship standards.
Hayley Khan, Virtual College’s Head of Learning Technology Consultancy, will discuss how the right blend of digital technologies with face to face support helps to maximise the learning opportunities for the apprentice, the wider workforce and the employer.
With the requirement for 20% off the job training for apprentices, it is crucial that training providers continue to provide high quality, consistent training nationwide to safeguard long term return on investment for the learner and the employer.
The seminar will use Virtual College’s partnership with Interserve Learning and Employment as a case study example to illustrate how Interserve has managed to successfully blend apprenticeship delivery.
Interserve is a leading training provider delivering education and work-based learning that supports economic growth across the UK. They have partnered with Virtual College to bring unique blended learning experiences to thousands of apprentices each year.
Hayley will discuss:
- How a blended delivery model supports the apprentice and employer
- How a digital approach increases quality and consistency
- What we can learn from apprenticeships to benefit the wider workforce
- The role of apprenticeships in building a learning and development culture
- How apprentices can be transformed into lifelong learners
