Virtual College and Interserve Learning & Employment integrating technology into apprenticeship standards
Virtual College is to help Interserve Learning and Employment integrate effective learning technology solutions to deliver the new apprenticeship standards.
Interserve is one of the world’s foremost support services and construction companies. Its learning and employment arm redefines the future of people and places by delivering education and work-based learning that will support economic growth.
As the learning technologies partner of Interserve Learning & Employment, Virtual College will provide a full consultancy offer including Enable, its cloud-based learning management system (LMS), and extensive online learning content.
Gregg Scott, Commercial Manager with Interserve Learning & Employment, commented: “We chose to work with Virtual College as they were able to offer a wide range of existing content and were also open to working in partnership to craft a blended solution for our apprentices.
“The partnership is a long term venture which will continue to evolve as our needs and those of our clients develop in response to the apprenticeship reforms and levy.”
Virtual College will initially provide over 150 hours of e-learning content that map into qualifications for a wide range of apprenticeships including Customer Service, Hospitality Team Worker and Adult Care Worker.
The partnership will also enable Interserve Learning & Employment to offer a wider range of solutions to their customers, including LMS, bespoke content development and off the shelf courses for non-apprentices.
Interserve Learning & Employment’s Product Development Officer, Matthew Smith, said: “Using their qualification mapping expertise, Virtual College understand how digital resources support qualification delivery,
“They have worked quickly to help us meet our May 1 launch date whilst still achieving the stringent quality criteria of the curriculum teams.”’
