Virtual College presents at national patient safety training awards
The Patient Safety Awards, which recognise outstanding practice across healthcare, took place in Manchester this week. Virtual College sponsored the Education and Training in Patient Safety Award and was invited to be on the judging panel to represent the important role technology and online training plays in the healthcare sector.
The Patient Safety Awards took place alongside the Patient Safety Congress in Manchester. Now in their 8th year, the Awards recognise outstanding practice across healthcare and this year consisted of 18 categories.
At the inspirational evening awards ceremony, Judith Clarkson, director of Virtual College, presented the Education and Training in Patient Safety Award to the winner: Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Plymouth University, Royal Cornwall Hospital Foundation NHS Trust, SUDEP Action and UCL Institute of Neurology.
On presenting the award, Judith, commented: “There were some impressive entries demonstrating a huge commitment to education and training throughout the UK.
“These were refined to an impressive short list of ten. To be chosen as winners from these competitive submissions is a truly outstanding achievement.”
