Virtual College to launch careers guidance resources for schools at Digital Education Show
Virtual College will be demonstrating online careers guidance resources for schools at the Digital Education Show, London Olympia from 30th June to 1st July.
Virtual College’s Career Vocational Open Online Courses offer an innovative approach to careers guidance, giving students and job seekers the opportunity to explore career options in an interactive manner.
They will help schools meet the government requirement “to provide independent careers guidance for all year 8-13 pupils.”
Ofsted has been giving careers guidance a higher priority in school inspections since September 2013, taking into account how well the school delivers advice and guidance to all pupils in judging its leadership and management.
The Career VOOC® website will provide a comprehensive range of resources. The search functionality will allow students to browse future progression routes, including current job opportunities, apprenticeships and further education options.

Other new tools being launched by Virtual College at the exhibition include ‘Enable Audit’, part of Virtual College’s enhanced learning management system. ‘Enable Audit’ is a new online tool, designed to simplify the auditing process. It is ideal for Ofsted, safeguarding and any other inspections where information from a number of sources needs to be collected and analysed.
For those schools who want instant access to a wide range of e-learning content for staff development, Virtual College has over 300 interactive online courses including new titles on show such as ‘Safeguarding Children Refresher’ and ‘Managing your Professional Digital Profile’.
Virtual College will be on stand number 42 at the Digital Education Show which is at London Olympia from 30th June to 1st July.
