Virtual College teams up with Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust to provide a national platform for healthcare professionals to share best practice
Virtual College’s Lean Healthcare Academy and Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust (LCH) are jointly hosting their first Lean Sharing Forum which will be themed around 'Developing Improvement Capability'.
As part of LCH’s commitment to promoting better health, better patient experience and the best possible outcomes, the forum will provide a platform for healthcare professionals to share best practice.
LCH’s Service Improvement Team has adopted Lean and Productive methodologies as part of their improvement strategy to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
The Sharing Forum forms a part of LCH’s improvement strategy and aims to give delegates from a number of NHS and private healthcare organisations the opportunity to come together to debate, learn and share successful initiatives and celebrate best practice.
The day will consist of three presentations from improvement experts: Krishna Nair, NHS West and South Bassetlaw CSU, Bev Green and Kim Shield, Productive improvement experts from Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Trust and Lisa Falkingham, Jo Smith and Debbie Flitham from Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session with a panel of experts made up of the guest speakers and experienced improvement facilitators.
Unique to this Sharing Forum is LCH’s Innovation and Research Forum. This is an informal part of the event where delegates and members of the public are welcome to explore projects on display, talk about work and make suggestions for future change.
The Sharing and Research Forum will also provide an opportunity for delegates to develop new contacts and allow networking with internal and external stakeholders. Help and support with new research and improvement ideas will be available from specialist teams.
This free Sharing Forum will be held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on the 12th June. For more information visit - http://www.leanhealthcareacademy.co.uk/.
