Virtual College has established an e-Academy in each sector that it operates in, such as healthcare and housing: “Our intention is to provide online learning that relates much more closely to learners’ needs than ‘off-the-shelf’ elearning. And it’s by understanding the unique needs of each of these sectors that we have been able to achieve our recent remarkable growth and impact,” explained Rod Knox.
“Our e-Academies are highly innovative and led by expert teams, with deep insights and experience of working in their particular sector. This is how we are able to get really close to the real learning needs that people face, which always have deep and complex, unique requirements. This strategy enables Virtual College to create courses that are much more relevant, much more meaningful - and without comparison. We’ve created a unique and innovative library for each of our sectors.”
Employees from every single NHS Trust in the country have taken one of Virtual College’s Healthcare e-Academy online courses. "This is only possible because of our deep understanding of the the learning needs in the healthcare sector,” points out Knox.
