Virtual College is fast approaching its one millionth online learner milestone and is running a competition to celebrate this amazing achievement.

Established in 1995, Virtual College is now one of the leading training providers supplying online learning and learning management systems to councils, private industry, NHS trusts, 70 Safeguarding Children Boards, construction companies and social housing providers across the country.

As one of Yorkshire's fastest growing companies, Virtual College has already helped over 130,000 learners to complete their Food Hygiene course and 100,000 healthcare professionals through their Safe Use of Insulin course; in total over 970,000 learners have successfully completed Virtual College training courses.  A live count of completed courses is displayed on their website at www.virtual-college.co.uk which is where their competition can be entered.

The company is encouraging people simply to go online to www.virtual-college.co.uk/guess and make a guess of the day and time that they will hit their millionth registered learner.  The closest to the correct answer wins a £1000 cash prize.  Closing date for entries is 30th March 2013.

Peter Hilliard, Marketing Manager of Virtual College said of the celebration, "This is an important milestone for the business, we have over 100 employees based in our Ilkley head office and we have all been working towards a million learners since we celebrated 500,000 learners in February 2011.  The aim of the competition is to remind all our customers of how close we are in getting to this milestone and to spread the word of our vast training experience to potential new users of our service."
