Virtual College announces shortlists for the Lean Healthcare Conference and Awards 2014
The Lean Healthcare Conference and Awards provides a platform for healthcare organisations to gain national recognition for improvement projects. The event provides a unique opportunity to share best practice and celebrate achievements with successful and pioneering health professionals across the country.
Sue Bradbury, Healthcare Manager of Virtual College, commented: “This year over 100 entries have been through the judging process and the calibre of projects is the highest ever. Clearly, there have been some great achievements in the healthcare sector in 2013.”
A total of 23 healthcare organisations have been shortlisted in the following eight categories:
- Embracing Technology Award
- Sustained Improvement Award
- Improving Services through Training and Development Award
- Productive Series Award - England
- Productive Series Award – International
- Sharing Best Practice Award
- Best Impact on Patient Experience Award
- Lean Champion of the Year 2014

All shortlists are currently going through the second phase of the independent judging process and the finalists will be announced on Monday 6th January.
The Lean Healthcare Conference and Awards is the annual platform for sharing best practice and will be held in Leeds on Thursday 6th February 2014. The day will consist of lunch, an exhibition displaying best practice, networking, a series of workshop presentations, an evening dinner with guest speaker Professor Nick Rich and awards presentation.
