The City & Guilds Accredited Productive Leader e-learning programmes will be launched at the Healthcare Innovation Expo, Excel London on 13th & 14th March. Virtual College is optimistic the addition of the on-line Productive Leader e-learning programme will continue to make a meaningful contribution towards the Government’s £20billion efficiency savings needing to be found by 2014.

The NHS Institute for Innovation & Improvement’s Productive Series has already saved the NHS millions of pounds and enabled thousands of hours of staff time to be reinvested into direct patient care.

The on-line training aims to release more time to care, and more time to lead by streamlining the way clinical and non-clinical teams work.

The Productive Leader Self-development programme; The Productive Leader Workload Management programme; The Productive Leader Practitioner and The Productive Leader Facilitator  are systematic, evidence-based training programmes based on Lean principles, which can help organisations  explore and transform personal, team and organisational activity.  Intended for staff at all levels including Chief Executives and Directors, The Productive Leader will, through structured approaches to common sense practice, instil a culture of improvement, increased productivity and effectiveness throughout an entire organisation.

The Productive Leader e-learning modules allow organisations to deliver the highest quality training with consistent messaging to large numbers of staff, across multiple sites in significantly reduced time scales and at significantly reduced cost.

“The timing couldn’t be better.  The chance to release significant time in the working week has never been more appealing.  Thinking about behaviour, adopting good practice and getting the best out of ourselves and teams are very pertinent…”  Charlie Keeney,   Director of Primary Care and Commissioning, Area Director Midlands and East, NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.

Whilst most leaders know the basic rules of how to manage their emails and meetings effectively, NHS research has shown that few follow them.  The Productive Leader successfully helps to release time to reinvest in value-adding activities by equipping staff with the tools to communicate more effectively, work more efficiently and manage meetings and emails more efficiently.
