The newly established Healthcare e-Academy has appointed Georgina Earle to a role purposely created to offer support to its fast-growing membership.

The new organisation, which joins the expanding stable of e-academies run by Virtual College, based in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, is delivering clinical and non-clinical online training programmes.

Key modules include data protection and information governance, infection prevention and control, self care, urinary catheterisation for adults, blended or e-induction training, and statutory and mandatory training.

Georgina, 23, returns to her home town – she was born and bred in Ilkley - to take up her first job after gaining a BSc honours degree in management at Manchester University. She previously attended Ilkley Grammar School and has been an active fund-raiser for cancer research, also enjoying travel and scuba diving.

Judith Clarkson, divisional director of e-academies with Virtual College, said: “The Healthcare e-Academy has hit the ground running. We already have over 30 members and Georgina has been appointed specifically to support them and provide them with up-to-the-minute information about any new developments and training modules, so enabling them to get the best value from their membership.”
