Video Arts launches new soft skills learning courses at Learning Technologies

Learning content specialist Video Arts will be launching new soft skills training courses and showcasing its e-learning, m-learning and training video expertise on stand 91 at Learning Technologies (29-30 January 2013, Olympia 2, London).

In partnership with e-learning provider Netex, Video Arts is creating a new series of 26 'responsive design' online courses, which will adapt to suit the optimal display settings for any device, enabling organisations to deliver the same high quality content to any desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

The new courses will cover management skills, communication, teamwork, customer service, quality and continuous improvement. Customer will be able to brand and tailor the SCORM-compliant content to their needs and TinCan functionality will be available.

Video Arts will also be showcasing four of its e-learning courses which have been included on the Institute of Leadership and Management's Level 3 Award in Effective Management, to create a more flexible study option.

The four e-learning courses are: Jamie's school dinners: managing and living with change; Jamie's kitchen: 15 lessons in leadership; Performance review: every appraisee's dream and every manager's nightmare and 30 ways to make more time. Each course provides two hours of content in bite-sized chunks, featuring video clips to reinforce the learning and interactive questions and exercises to retain interest and build understanding.

On Tuesday 29 January, Martin Addison will present a free seminar at Learning Technologies entitled 'Learning for the YouTube generation' (11.00-11.30am, Theatre 4). With case study examples from Ernst & Young, Volvo and Macmillan Cancer Support, he will explain how to engage young people in learning, by using the medium they most prefer, and how L&D teams can find and deploy video content and take learning beyond the classroom.
