Valamis, AI and Machine Learning with OpenAI’s ChatGPT
A forerunner in AI and Machine Learning, Valamis is set to revolutionize learning with OpenAI’s ChatGPT
A well known pioneer in the world of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), Valamis is innovating yet again. The company, known for its ground-breaking projects such as the AI-based chatbot and Intelligent Knowledge Discovery, is now leveraging its rich experience in ML and AI to draw intelligent insights from data by incorporating OpenAI’s ChatGPT into the Valamis Learning Solution.
The introduction of ChatGPT has already begun to transform workflows, and Valamis sees this as a significant shift in virtually every aspect of work and life – a change akin to the arrival of the internet. The company began research and development early 2023 to incorporate ChatGPT into its platform, recognising the untapped potential of this technology.
Valamis is currently developing an intelligent content creation feature within the Valamis Studio content creation tool. This will allow users to directly use ChatGPT to produce content as xAPI modules. Content authoring being a key capability of Valamis, incorporating ChatGPT seemed like a natural progression.
Improved personalisation, engagement, and productivity with AI
The primary goal of most learning solutions is to enhance and sustain learner engagement, and Valamis is no different. The company recognises that simply personalising content is not enough to keep learners engaged over extended periods. Hence, it aims to foster what it terms as “relevant engagement” through intelligent prompts.
There’s a similar challenge on the administration side of learning and development (L&D). Solutions often inundate administrators with a myriad of reports, leading to information overload and confusion rather than providing valuable insights. Valamis aims to tackle this issue using AI to generate smart insights.
The Valamis platform will provide prompts for relevant interactions, accessible to users via the platform dashboard, mobile app, email, and the Valamis App for Microsoft Teams. These prompts aren’t just content recommendations; they are highly personalised activity suggestions created by intelligent technologies. This ensures a unique experience for learners every time they access the platform or any of its interfaces.
But the company’s vision for ChatGPT doesn’t stop there.
“Conversational AI is a game-changer in the world of learning, and at Valamis, we recognise its immense potential. We believe that ChatGPT has the power to transform the way learners engage with educational content by providing personalised messages tailored to their needs. This personalised approach enhances learner engagement and creates a more immersive and effective learning experience, ” says Chief Visionary Officer, Jari Järvelä from Valamis.
As Valamis continues to push the boundaries in ML and AI, its latest venture with ChatGPT is set to redefine the learning landscape, promising a more personalised, engaging, and productive experience for learners and administrators alike.
