A four part case study which begins publication with Part 1 appearing in October’s edition of Learning Technology magazine is set to show how food travel experts SSP, have met multiple challenges to deliver a measurable ROI on the company’s investment in their TWM built, Learning & Development portal – SSP Academy Live.

SSP employ 30,000 people globally and provide food and beverage services to travellers worldwide.

Working closely with The Working Manager (TWM) since 2010, the two companies have aspired to provide a “Best in Class” online learning and development solution for SSP’s people.

The four part case study, which will appear in all editions of this year’s Learning Technology Magazine leading up to the Learning Technology Show in late January 2014, covers the challenge of learning consistency and integration into a multinational F&B retail organisation like SSP.

It considers, the influx of the digital generation workforce and the adoption process organisations need to make towards immersive and playful collaborative learning.

Looking also at how traditional L&D content can be digitised and incorporated in 70:20:10 learning, the study reveals the benefits and success of blended L&D solutions that encourage technology to be the enabler and not the revolution.

TWM’s Peter Gray said: “Long term case studies that look at the “over time development” of learning and development solutions are rare and so we’re delighted to have the opportunity to present such a resounding success story which undoubtedly reveals and deals with the key challenges faced by the L&D and training community today.”
