First of its kind, L&D benchmarking study opens in Australia and New Zealand

London, UKLearning NewsTowards Maturity

Towards Maturity launches inaugural study to bring global insights together with local data and help Australia and New Zealand drive industry change within L&D.

With an increasing pressure on the global L&D population to satisfy business needs whilst engaging  learners, and to budget, the pressure has never been higher.

Towards Maturity is bringing their global benchmark study to Australia and New Zealand, combining local data with global insights to deliver the L&D community a site-specific toolkit they can use to deliver change and make an impact.

Top performing organisations are over 5x more likely to benchmark and report a significant impact on business with up to:

  • 14% improvement in productivity
  • 15% reduction in time to competency
  • 18% increase in customer and employee satisfaction
  • 18% reduction in overall costs

Joining the likes of Quantas Airways Ltd, the Australian Financial Security Authority and Coca-Cola Amatil, the benchmark process allows learning professionals to confidentially review their strategy, compare their approach with top performing peers around the globe and establish priorities. Consolidating the experiences of more than 5,500 people, each participant receives a unique, Personalised Benchmark Report to target improved performance as well as a copy of the new study focussed on the needs of the region.

Laura Overton, CEO and founder of Towards Maturity says:

Our Benchmark is growing its global reach year on year and that’s because we’re giving people tools they can run with. People professionals want to make an impact and our benchmark gives them the keys to success.

I’m excited to bring that global perspective together with local insights to deliver a full industry report especially for Australia and New Zealand. By cutting global data alongside local we’ll be shining a spotlight on the region.

The Towards Maturity Benchmark has been championing the development of the L&D industry since 2003. Scoring on a total of 19 performance improvement benchmarks it includes insights to help you improve business alignment, increase learner engagement and make informed decisions about new models of learning, like 70:20:10.

Michelle Ockers, Associate Partner in Australia, said:

Over the past few years I have found the Towards Maturity Benchmark an essential tool to reflect on the effectiveness of my L&D strategy, help me demonstrate the value and benefit of investments made and also to identify tactics to improve the impact of L&D.

The Benchmark study is considered one of the most comprehensive, global and independent reviews of how organisational learning maturity provides the keys to success to those looking to build an agile learning organisation. Aimed at all learning and development professionals responsible for implementing innovative learning and performance solutions in their workplace and organisations, all sectors, from across private, public and not-for-profit are welcome to take part.

Matt Johnson, Global Managing Director, Kineo - Platinum sponsor of the Australia and New Zealand Report, said:
