THRIVE welcomes new Head of People & Culture to drive people engagement
Sacha Harvey joins from Rum Kitchen, a THRIVE customer, to help maintain and evolve the company's culture and employee experience as it scales.
Digital learning and skills specialist, THRIVE, has appointed engagement expert Sacha Harvey as its new Head of People & Culture to drive forward the company’s ambitious people engagement strategy.
Sacha joins with more than 15 years’ experience in learning and development roles across the retail and hospitality sector. Most recently, she worked as People Director at Rum Kitchen, a THRIVE customer, where she pioneered new people strategies utilising the THRIVE platform.
Other previous roles include Head of Learning and Development at Byron, where Sacha led the L&D team through a major transitionary period, as well as senior leadership roles specialising in training at Harris + Hoole, Just Giving Inc and Arcadia Group.
The appointment comes as THRIVE continues to make heavy investments in its people strategy as part of its vision to become the modern employer of choice and one of the best places to work in the UK. Its employee headcount increased 168 per cent between March 2021-March 2022 – from 38 to 102 employees.
As well as teams spanning the UK, THRIVE now has employees in several US states including New Hampshire, Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts and Missouri, Toronto in Canada, and soon, New South Wales in Australia.
Sacha Harvey, Head of People & Culture, THRIVE, said:
“The opportunity to join the THRIVE team is nothing short of a dream come true. As a former customer of THRIVE, I am fully aware of how effective their platform is and how driven they are to make a positive difference in people.
“Equally, it is a company driven by the desire to make people love to learn. This is something I’ve been committed to since beginning my career working with children at risk of exclusion. With all the changes taking place across the world of digital learning, I look forward to advancing THRIVE’s people and culture strategy to help ensure that we are having the best impact on our people and customers alike.”
Sean Reddington, co-founder and CEO, THRIVE, added:
“Welcoming Sacha to THRIVE is a big landmark in our story. It made complete sense to bring someone on board from an existing customer because they understand our culture, values and vision from day one, and from the 400 applications we received, the entire shortlist were customers wanting to join us vendor side.
“We’re a company that prides itself not just on having a unique learning and skills platform, but also on investing heavily into our people and making their wellbeing and happiness an integral part of our offering. The success of this is reflected in our strong year-on-year growth, 99% customer retention and 97% customer satisfaction – all testament to the way our people work together to deliver an incredible customer experience and help each other reach their full potential.
“I know Sacha’s arrival will take our culture from strength to strength, and I’m very excited for what the future holds.”
The appointment comes soon after THRIVE rolled out its new skills platform, creating the world’s first, complete Learning and Skills Platform. It combines the compliance capabilities of an LMS, the learner-led, social feel of an LXP, comms capabilities and a new, built-in skills development solution, giving L&D teams a one-stop-shop for learning, upskilling, communication and collaboration across their organisation.
